Report after the closed session:
Despite advertising in print and on line in the San Diego Daily Transcript, and posting the position on the district website, the District received only three applications, for the project liaison monitor position. The board has determined that the position will not be filled at this time. The board has further directed that the CEO incorporate the position as part of the ongoing reorganization of the Prop. G program management team in accordance with the recommendations of the third party performance audit as commissioned by the advice of the independent citizens bond oversight committee.

The reference mentioned by Mr. Lutz:

Once the board member retires, the district may enter into an employment contract with the former board member, so long as no discussions concerning such employment took place between the board member and his or her colleagues or staff prior to the date of retirement.
