Linden Blue to Help Lead Hunter for Congress Campaign

LA MESA, CA - The Duncan D. Hunter for Congress campaign announced today that well-known San Diego business leader Linden Blue will serve as Campaign Co-Chair and Finance Committee Co-Chair for the Hunter for Congress campaign.

"I am very happy to help Capt. Duncan D. Hunter in his campaign for Congress," said Blue. "We need more men and women of principle in Washington and more representatives who understand the real threats facing our nation. Duncan qualifies on both counts."

Since 1986, Linden Blue has been Vice Chairman of General Atomics in San Diego. At GA his primary responsibilities have included development of the advanced, second-generation, Modular Helium Reactor (MHR), coordination of activities in GA's Washington, D.C. office, and overseeing GA's activities at the San Diego Supercomputer Center which GA established in 1985. GA is a diversified international high technology company with world leadership positions in fusion, fission, and training research and isotope nuclear reactors. GA is a world leader in high power electro magnetics, high power lasers and unpiloted air vehicles.

Blue is a long-time donor and supporter of Republican political candidates and committees. Among his other activities: Board of Overseers, Center for Naval Analysis; Trustee and Executive Committee, Hudson Institute; Chairman of the Airports and Airways Committee, General Aviation Manufacturers Association; Board Member, Burnham Institute; Board Member, UCSD Foundation; Chairman of the Board, Jobs for San Diego's Graduates; Board Member, Jobs for America's Graduates; Board of Advisors, UCSD Connect, American Council of Young Political Leaders; and Board and Executive Committee, Business and Industry Political Action Committee.

Earlier, he served on active duty with the USAF Strategic Air Command. Mr. Blue received his B.A. degree from Yale University in 1958, and is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School.
