  • After the NRC completes their inspections, they will be having a PUBLIC MEETING! Time/date and location not announced yet. This is a all-hands-on-deck event that can be the end of SONGS. We have to be ready to deploy to this public meeting.
  • It's getting worse for SONGS... another 4 tubes blew in the next test. That means they have a serious problem and the reactors will not be restarted for at least months. WE CAN MAKE IT PERMANENT!

  • Fish's Trial: Lawyer said jury selection might be done at around 11:30am. Which means the trial starts after lunch. We need a packed house! I can not emphasize this enough. If any affinity groups are looking for an action to get behind, you couldn't pick a more worthy one. Save our Fish!

  • STOCK Act passes in the Senate The STOCK Act - legislation to bar members of Congress from trading stocks based on nonpublic information they have obtained in the course of their congressional work - passed the Senate Thursday in a 96 to 3 vote. The legislation still needs to pass the House. President Obama, who said in a statement he was "pleased" by the Senate vote, has vowed to quickly sign the bill if it reaches his desk. Members of Congress are already subject to insider trading laws. But it is currently within the law for a lawmaker to buy a company's stock after learning, for example, that an upcoming bill will grant that company a large government contract.

  • California Striking Back Against Citizens United California took another bold step toward undoing the damage wrought by the Citizens United decision on Tuesday as the state Assembly Judiciary Committee passed Joint Resolution 22, which calls for a constitutional amendment to overturn the decision. The measure will now go to the floor of the Assembly for a vote. This places California in a growing list of states determined to put the power of democracy squarely back in the hands of its citizens. Similar resolutions have already appeared in Massachusetts, Vermont and Maryland, Alaska, Iowa, Kansas, New York and others. All in all 16 states have introduced or passed similar resolutions.

 sponsored by National Occupation of Washington, D.C., has been announced by human rights defender Kevin Zeese Thursday. The conference that begins on April 2 will be followed by three days of the NOW DC Social Forum with presentations by noted occupiers from across the country.

Another amazing Victory by Women Occupy's campaign against Rush Limbaugh advertisers!

Pam with WOSD has taken on the fight and done an amazing job, Bill Howe pulled his ads from Rush.

This is in response to an e-mail I wrote to Bill Howe's Marketing Director. BH sponsors traffic reports on KOGO, not on the RL show. Bottom line is that he is removing the traffic sponsorships that air during RL's show. So, another victory…"because it's the right thing to do". Whatever…it will no longer air on R's show.

Hello Pam,

Thank you for taking the time to write us. Bill Howe Plumbing does not currently sponsor any specific radio programs or on-air personalities. We do however sponsor traffic reports on KOGO AM as part of our commitment to the San Diego community, and these traffic reports run throughout the day during different programming. To put it simply, we are sponsoring a traffic report, not the program during which the traffic report runs. We believe strongly that these traffic reports contribute to the overall health and safety of our community and we will continue to sponsor them throughout the day to help keep San Diegans informed and safe.

That being said, Bill Howe has 5 daughters and 9 sisters, what Rush Limbaugh said did not go unnoticed by Bill.     • It usually takes about 6 hours for someone who has been arrested to pop up here. This site will tell you their charges, bail, etc. Jail's number is (619) 615-2700. The jail won't tell you much if anything that is not on the website. Please check this website before saying someone is in or out of jail to avoid confusion.
  • FYI -- Penal Code 849.5. In any case in which a person is arrested and released and no accusatory pleading is filed charging him with an offense, any record of arrest of the person shall include a record of release. Thereafter, the arrest shall not be deemed an arrest, but a detention only.
