EARTH SUMMIT SERIES -- KICK OFF EVENT "Emergency at San Onofre: From Shutdown to Nuclear Waste on the Beach"

Earth Summit Series will kick off a monthly series of events on Monday August 5, at the Santa Fe Room of the Balboa Park Club. The Balboa Park Club is at 2150 Pan American Rd West in Balboa Park, next to the Puppet Theater, and almost directly west of the Organ Pavilion. Events will generally occur every first Monday of each month.

Please RSVP at this FB event: https://www.facebook.com/events/642674209505541/ Venue information: Balboa Park Club Santa Fe Room

We will be scheduling regular meetings each FIRST MONDAY of the month (except for Sept 9) based on the idea of SUSTAINABLE LIVING and CITIZENS' OVERSIGHT.

To make this a success, we need your help, by attending the meetings! There is no admission fee but we will be collecting optional donations at the door to help support the costs of renting the room and other costs ($20 suggested). No one will be turned away. Seating is limited, so please arrive early.

At this first kick-off, we will be conducting social networking outside in the park area because the room is not available until 7pm, (but we believe it will actually open for our use prior to that time.)

Please be ready to discuss YOUR IDEAS for future presentations. An opportunity to announce other events will be available at the end of the meeting.

WE ALSO NEED VOLUNTEERS to help staff the registration table, etc. at the event. Can you help?

Looking forward to seeing everyone at this meeting. Please stay tuned for future announcements!
