  • Benjamin Gasper's trial has been postponed to allow the defense to respond to new evidence brought forth by the prosecution. The newest court date is March 19th at 9:30 in department 50.
  • Fish's trial will be on March 22nd.
  • Bobby Uribe's trial starts 4/19. Need witnesses to Bobby Uribe's arrest at port protest.
  • HELP: Need video or eye witnesses, anyone who: 1) took video of Mr. Dennison's arrest, especially from the beginning; 2) witnessed Mr. Dennison's arrest; 3) Knows anything about the cops in the photo; 4) was harassed or arrested by any of the cops in the photos. The cops are Button and Newton. The Sgt. is Depress, and Depree started it. Please assist. Mr. Dennison was arrested on 10-28-11 at the civil center.

  • Hundreds Rally to Remember Fukushima, Protest San Onofre Hundreds of protesters converged near the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station today to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. Reactors there remain in a state of continuing high-level meltdown.

  • Anti-Nuke Rally at San Onofre Commemorating Fukushima Largest In Years Hundreds rallied in front of the San Onofre nuclear reactors on Sunday, March 11th, in commemoration of the disaster exactly one year ago at the Fukushima plant in Japan. And two speakers from Japan addressed the crowd and expressed appreciation for Americans’ solidarity during the warm afternoon near a cliff just off the Pacific.

But it is important to recognize the impact such spurious arrests have on peoples perception of freedom to assemble and petition their government for a redress of grievances. Who wants to risk arrest for not only attending a protest but for simply planning to attend? In making this arrest the police have shown they are not interested in maintaining order but in the suppression of dissent.

  • NYPD intimidation of #OWS and the architecture of NYC surveillance A number of Occupy Wall Street protesters are planning to sue the NYPD for what they are calling pre-emptive arrests based on "thought crimes." The activists say that the NYPD has placed them under surveillance at their homes and work spaces, and that the police have arrested them without cause and asked inappropriate questions about their political activity.

If the Mayor and his allies pull this off, it's a direct threat to hundreds of union jobs at the Convention Center and will stifle the voices of all the workers who have a direct interest in the Convention Center. The City Council has a chance to stop this brazen giveaway, and we're going to make sure they hear from the taxpayers who may be on the hook for the giant bill while the profits go to hoteliers. Chaplain Ron Dismuke was assaulted Monday morning from a man in the Little Italy area, and so he called 9-1-1. Here is what he says:
Yes,I was jumped by a clean-cut white man this morning in a part of San Diego where most people earn $300k/yr. SDPD asked me, "So Chaplain Ron, what do you want SDPD to do?" -- "Go find him and make the streets safe for us citizens," I said. SDPD asked if the crime was done by a black man, a homeless man or a Mexican. I told him it was done by a "NON OCCUPY PERSON" why? because I have never had any fear around MY OCCUPY FAMILY. "They happen to LOVE me," I said. SDPD asked if this was a REAL person that hit me, since no one else saw the attack. "Why would someone come up and hit you, did you do something to provoke them, SDPD asked. "I was walking over to church to meet a friend at mass and this person ran up and raised his hand, I covered my head and he hit my arm and ran off. I pressed 911 [on my cell phone] and he came at me again. I put my hands up as he ran by me the 2nd time. This was a real attack at 9:40 AM on Ceder St. in LITTLE ITALY where for the last 5 years I have had no fear of walking. The SDPD could have shown some mercy but they seemed to doubt me since no one saw it. God saw it, besides why would I file a false report and get myself in trouble. I don't need that kind of attention. I just want the person who hit me brought to justice so I can have peace. I want SDPD to carry out Article 1 Section 28. I want to be treated with fairness and respect by the law. I want to be reasonably protected. As citizens that's what we pay the law for. Keep LOVE as the RULE IN YOUR HEART and in so doing you will have victory. Thank you for the love you so freely give to my dear wife and I. You have my love with you always.

    • It usually takes about 6 hours for someone who has been arrested to pop up here. This site will tell you their charges, bail, etc. Jail's number is (619) 615-2700. The jail won't tell you much if anything that is not on the website. Please check this website before saying someone is in or out of jail to avoid confusion.
  • FYI -- Penal Code 849.5. In any case in which a person is arrested and released and no accusatory pleading is filed charging him with an offense, any record of arrest of the person shall include a record of release. Thereafter, the arrest shall not be deemed an arrest, but a detention only.
