  • WHEN: July 10, 2018 (2pm Rally, 3pm City Council Meeting)
  • WHERE: Amphitheater near El Cajon City Hall
  • WHY: Stop Secret Child Prison in El Cajon

The mission will be to place extreme pressure on the El Cajon City Council to become fully transparent as to the presence of a Migrant Youth Interment Facility (AKA Prison) at 1160 Broadway EC Ca 92021.

There are two issues on the table.

First, the current incarceration facility's presence, operation and activities are in direct violation of the City's Conditional Usage Permit 308 for the property. Under the cover of bureaucratic darkness, and in violation of our City's governing requirements regarding this particular conditional usage permit, our City secretly facilitated the establishment of an Office of Refugee Re-establishment Migrant Youth Internment Facility.

We have City of El Cajon documents clearly proving this claim.

Second, these are defining times for the citizens of El Cajon. These our defining times for our City Council and our City Government. Such defining times require our attention with plenty of public voice and plenty of public hearing. The policy of separating children from their parents is immoral and reprehensible. If there is any fiber of decency in our country, we must stand firm against this. Please join us!
