The Oversight and Government Reform Committee is the main investigative body in the House of Representatives, it's charged with making sure the government is doing its job and holding the executive accountable. That means searching for waste fraud and abuse of power in any federal program. Henry Waxman, who has been in congress 33 years, has been ranking member of the committee since 1997.
