This Activity is Very Important
This activity is Very Important because election results primarily reflect the partisan split, especially partisan races (like the State and Federal races).
Legal basis
The U.S. Supreme Court case "Pruneyard vs. Robins" is the key case to support this activity.

Parkway Plaza Mall
- Contact information and location: Common.WestfieldParkwayPlazaMall
- This has been our most productive location. It was difficult to get in, but now the mall (somewhat reluctantly) cooperates.
- We've set up both right in front of Wal Mart and also in front of Pat & Oscars. The Wal Mart location has more traffic but the Pat & Oscar's location has power outlets for plugging in laptops, for example.
- The mall supplies a table and up to three chairs (or perhaps four, I can't remember), and a fabric table cloth.
- They allow us to use it one weekend per month. We typically use it Friday, Sat, Sun (Fridays are quite busy).
- You must fill out their application and include copies of any material (fliers, meeting notices, brochures, etc.) that are distributed.

- PROCEDURE
- Call the office at the mall. Tell them you want to pick up a packet to complete.
- Complete the packet and turn it in. Ask for dates and negotiate a time/place to set up.
- Schedule volunteers for 2-hour time slots. Schedule two people is smart to allow one to leave.
- Team leader should make sure setup and removal for each day, and ensure forms are delivered to San Diego County Party Headquarters.
Grossmont Shopping Center
- Contact information and location: Common.GrossmontCenterMall
- This site has typically been run by the La Mesa-Foothills Democratic Club on Saturdays.
- Typically located in the covered portion of the mall (green kiosk) at the Target end of the mall.
- They allow weekly operation.
