On April 29 We Commemorate:
26th Year Anniversary of Continued Chernobyl Meltdown
33rd Anniversary of the Three-Mile Island Disaster
Recognition of the Continuing Fukushima Meltdown

And we Stand for Permanent Decommissioning of the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS)

  • Note: Rally Site will be monitored for ANY radiation danger -- will not hold the event unless it is safe!

  • Date: April 29, 2012, 1:00-3:00 p.m.
  • Site: Near San Onofre reactor south gate on Old Hwy 101 map
  • Drive: Take I-5 to Basilone Rd, Drive 2 miles south for drop off.
  • Park: At San Onofre State Beach, 1/8 mile south of Rally Site -- $15/day -- Please bring correct cash.
  • Buses: $10 per seat from Balboa Park (Park Avenue at Presidents Way) and from Oceanside Transit Center

  • Camp:
    • No Camping is available at San Onofre State Beach -- Day use only. (Need to confirm this)
    • Two other nearby campgrounds are open for camping: San Mateo Campground and San Clemente State Park ($35/night).
  • March: Starts at 12:30p From State Beach Parking area, 1/8 mile to rally site, bring signs, etc.
