You can self-subscribe and manage your subscription to our list servers yourself. (A listserv is a program that will "reflect" email sent to it. Sometimes, these are called "reflectors.")

Denial of service attacks and other attacks by robots

We have unfortunately been haunted by a number of attacks that tie up our server by submitting tens of thousands of bogus subscription requests. The program we are using is a popular listserve program called "mailman." To defeat these attacks, we have taken a number of steps. You may encounter that some of the normal services of this program, such as self-subscription or management programs have either been protected by a captcha (to prove you are a human and not a program) or they may have been disabled. Please contact the administrator directly to perform any maintenance of your subscription. Thanks!
