Raj Chopra,
It would be inappropriate to support, host, or condone a munitions manufacturing factory on campus. Instead, SWC is supporting and condoning the training of the killers who fire the guns. This is beyond reprehensible. It enters into the realm of evil.
I would classify myself as apolitical. I couldn’t tell you who George W ran against and defeated in his two terms as president. However, as an educator and as a human being I am disgusted and revulsed by your support of one of the world’s most henious companies.
It is debilitating to my job as an educator and shameful to me as an individual that the president of the institution that I work for is a war profiteer. It is digusting that our school president condones aiding and abbeting a company that is known the world over for it’s total disregard for human rights and human life. It is sickening that our school could be used by a company of trained killers, who ROUTINELY massacre civilians, to train those killers in our classrooms and ‘conference rooms’.
Have you no shame? Have you and our ogrish board no regard for human life? Is a few dollars so important to you that it superceeds global awareness and the sacredness of life? Xe, A.K.A. Blackwater, a company so nefarious that they had to change their name, is a killing factory. That is primarily what they do; they train humans to kill other humans. You and our calous board say, “YES! Train those civilian killers here. Invite them to mingle with our students and maybe they can mentor them in the arts of hatred, intollerance, racism and indiscriminate killing”…all skills in which Xe excells.
In my school, in the institution where I endeavor to create a wholesome, challenging, positive environment for learning, you have undermined my pedagogical efforts with this despicable agreement. If I were a parent, I would not want my kids in this environment. If I was a student, Grossmont would suddenly become a much more viable choice.
Two years ago I encountered a Blackwater employee in San Diego with a video of other Blackwater employees firing a 50 caliber machine gun out the back window of their car. They were indiscriminately targeting innocent civilian cars on the Bagdad Airport Road. They laughed as the bullets tore into the cars, tore into the drivers and occupants. These victims were fathers and mothers and kids, just out for a ride or going about their daily business. This was what the Blackwater employees were trained to do: kill …and they did it for sport. That video made it to the internet but was quickly pulled. But there are others…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZX1odzHdAo&eurl=http://crazyrichguy.wordpress.com/blackwater-videos/ … a bit more sedate, but still gruesome enough to vividly portray the kind of employee Xe is training. Now you want the people who fired those guns to train others on our campus? You invite the company who recently killed 20 innocent civilians (CNN:
