Southern California Edison hosts a quarterly "Community Engagement Panel Meeting" to present their point of view. Public comment is accepted (3 min). Includes discussion of the decommissioning of the San Onofre Nuclear plant and regarding the nuclear spent fuel which is to remain on-site until another place can be found for it.

At this meeting, Citizens Oversight will announce the acceptance of the HELMS petition before the NRC which will be published in the Federal Register and comments will be accepted on the NRC website for 75 days after publication. Formal meeting starts at 5:30pm. We will be conducting a live-stream at about 4:15pm about HELMS, the Settlement To Move San Onofre Waste and inviting local activists to speak about their recent actions, including the radiation monitor and other recent happenings.
