Sunday, Jan 27th, 2 p.m. (refreshments at 1:30 p.m.). The documentary film "Shadow Company" will be shown by Current Events Theater at the Rancho San Diego Library. This film details privatization of our military in firms such as Blackwater, Triple Canopy, Dyn Corp and others. Through letters, photos and personal video, James Ashcroft, 28, an employee of a large private military company currently under contract in Iraq, provides an intimate introduction into his life as a modern day "soldier for hire." Gather at 1:30 p.m. for social networking, the movie will start at 2 p.m., with discussion following. Admission is free and open to the public.
