The documentary film "Peace, Propaganda & the Promised Land -- U.S. Media & the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict" will be shown by Current Events Theater at the El Cajon Library. This film describes stark differences in coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and will help start a discussion about the current standoff. East County Democratic Club sponsors a public forum on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Sunday, March 1st, 2:00 pm (refreshments at 1:30). The event will screen the 80-minute documentary film "Peace, Propaganda & the Promised Land -- U. S. Media & the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict". This film describes stark differences in coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and will help start a discussion about the current standoff. (Note: This film contains violence.) After the film, the event will include comments and moderated Q&A by a panel of experts. The Palestinian viewpoint will be represented by Dr. Nasser Barghouti, executive director of the Arab American Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) / San Diego Chapter. Israel's perspective will be represented by Dr. Shlomo Dubnov from the Department of Music at UCSD and the San Diego chapter chair for Scholars for Peace in the Middle East (SPME –
