Current Events Theater Old

The Current Events Theater is an initiative to show relevant films to the public promoting progressive values. We are currently holding this at the Rancho San Diego Library Community room, but we are always interested in other great venues.

• 10 Sep 2006 - Current Events Theater: "The Big Buy - Tom Delay's Stolen Congress" Rancho San Diego Library (Doors open 1:30pm)
• 15 Oct 2006 - Current Events Theater: Film TBD, Rancho San Diego Library (Doors open 1:30pm)

• "The Time is Now" an anti-war movie that played at Dem Fest. (William Mc Rae has a copy)
• "Sir, No Sir" another anti-war movie that played at the Ken.
• "9/11 Scholars Symposium Panel" (Aired on CSPAN June 25, 2006)
• "Why we Fight" regarding the Military-Industrial-Corporate complex warning by Eisenhower
• "History's Mysteries: Mind Control : America's Secret War" History Channel program (50 min) - From WWII on, U.S. intelligence agencies spent millions on top-secret mind control projects with a goal of creating totally dependable, programmable human robots. The projects involved brutal, often terminal experiments on thousands of unwitting citizens in direct defiance of law, all ethical codes, and the most basic human rights. We talk to author John Marks, who broke the story of the CIA's experiments known as MK-ULTRA and a woman whose past was erased by a brainwashing experiment.
