• 140,000 people brought into downtown Escondido by theater district.
• Need economics numbers that show that it is better for the downtown district to have a theater than the car show, for example.
• Car show is completely a distraction and does not really bring in new people.
• Need to make the case in a clear simple document.
• would cost $2.5 million to tear it down.
• Can be used as an issue in the election.
• Motion: Form a foundation Ben/ Duane -- Unanimous
