EarthFair

2016

  • April 17, 2016.
  • Double booth reserved.
  • No canopies ordered this year. Need to bring our own.
  • Hours are 10am to 5pm.
  • Roads close at 9am. Should get there at 8:45 and drop off, then park before 9am.
  • Would like to get two new canopies from Dick's sporting goods with protruding shade.
  • SCHEDULE:
  • Pack the van the day before.
  • Leave home base at 8:00. Pick up Arthur on the way. Arrive at Prado area by 8:45.
  • Drop off stuff at the exhibit area, park car. Arthur staffs the booth during that time.
  • VOLUNTEERING SLOTS are set to be 3 hours each.
  • SLOT 1: 8:45 to 11:00 Setup.

2015

  • April 19, 2015. $283.
  • Constructed shade cover that can extend over the walkway.
  • Booth is provided. 8 ft tall (at sides) by 10 ft wide.
  • Hours are 10am to 5pm.
  • Roads close at 9am. Should get there at 8:45 and drop off, then park before 9am.
  • SCHEDULE:
  • Leave home base at 8:00. Pick up Arthur on the way. Arrive at Prado area by 8:45.
  • Drop off stuff at the exhibit area, part car. Arthur staffs the booth during that time.
  • VOLUNTEERING SLOTS are set to be 2:15 each (135 minutes)
  • SLOT 1: 8:45 to 11:00 Setup.
  • SLOT 2: 11:00 to 1:15 PM Midday

2014

  • COPS had a booth. Promoted StopTheUnfairSettlement, Stop WaterFluoridation
  • Volunteers:

  • Time slots were used and it worked well.
  • Need snacks for workers, water.
  • This year, we tried having a screening area where people could sit and watch some of the film about healthcare. This was unsuccessful.

  • Friends of the Earth sponsored a double-booth for ShutSanOnofre

  • Had a booth for Lutz campaign.

2008

  • April 20, 2008 BalboaPark -- Did not have a booth but did guerrilla marketing at central square.
