Improving Election Systems Cybersecurity

Hand Marked Ballot Standard

• We need a better standard for the paper ballot so all machines will use the same format which is much better cryptographically, and can limit some copying scams.

Guidelines and Terminology on the Ease of Vote Verification

• This paper defines different levels of vote verification by voters and auditors. The conclusion is that the best voting method is the hand-marked paper ballot, and worst are BMDs with unverifiable QR Codes or Barcodes.
