About three dozen protesters marched in opposition to Blackwater's role in the September 16 shooting that killed 17 Iraqis in Baghdad.
According to a press release, the workers were reenacting part of that incident.
Authorities said some of the protesters used red paint on signs to Blackwater and also blocked the road.
They were arrested when they refused to disperse, authorities said.
Blackwater is the largest of the State Department's three private security contractors.
Arrested are: William Mathias Streight, 53, of Treviians, VA; Laura Lee Marks, 40, of Ayden, NC; Steven John Baggarly of Norfolk; Mary Therese Grace, 51, of Wolfton, VA; Elizabeth Velkey Brockman, 45, of Durham, NC; Marks Peter Colville, 46, of New Haven, CT; Peter Johns
De Mott, 60, of Ithaca, NY.
They're calling themselves the Blackwater 7.
