No elections held for 2002, 2004
This is probably because there were not enough candidates, and then all are automatically appointed.

In response to an email from Jan Hedlun regarding Mr. Susu's seat:
In response to questions you asked me yesterday regarding Mr. Susu’s occupation and subsequent vacation of Seat #3, the next election for odd number seats is not until 2008; the last election was 2004. Per Policy I-1, the person who received the most votes in the most recent election will fill the seat vacated by Mr. Susu, following appointment by the Board of Supervisors, not the Planning Group chairman. To qualify for the seat, the person has to be a registered voter 18 years or older, living in the community planning area. If there is no highest vote-getter from the last election (this does happen), persons meeting the requirements and interested in the seat should express their interest in writing to me. I will forward your requests/recommendations to the Clerk of the Board. Whoever fills seat #3 will serve until the next election.
Please also refer to your Group’s Standing Rules. They specify that “if a vacancy occurs within 8 months following the last November election, the next candidate with the most votes will assume office upon the majority vote of the Planning Group and confirmation by the Board of Super-visors. If the vacancy occurs 9 months after the last November election, or if an unsuccessful candidate from then previous election was not able to get a majority vote of the Planning Group, then anyone that qualifies can apply for the vacated seat”. I hope this helps clarify things.

The DPLU information states that this group has their meeting on the second Thursday of the month. At the March 8th meeting, Gordon Hammers (Chair) said he would not have time on the agenda to squeeze in Duncan McFetridge of
Save Our Forest And Ranchlands until July. Then, unexpectedly, he said there would be no April meeting due to travel conflicts that he had, and the vice chair would not be able to do it either. Today (April 12) I called Gordon, and he confirmed that there would be no meeting. But it is strange, because Gordon is here in town, and could have run the meeting. It sounds like the story of being out of town was just a false cover story.
